On February 12th, 2024, TaRGeT member Alfredo Dueñas Rey successfully defended his PhD entitled “Uncovering the role of non-coding regulatory variation in inherited retinal disease”.
We were honoured to host prof. Nicola Whiffin and prof. Timothy Cherry as international members of the examination committee, together with prof. Gerben Menschaert, prof. Jo Vandesompele, prof. Sarah Vergult, prof. Celine Everaert, and prof. Patrick Calders from Ghent University. Proud promotors are Frauke Coppieters, Elfride De Baere and Miriam Bauwens.
